I'm Tari, owner of Fables & Ferns Bookstore. I'm also a licensed vet tech with a lifelong love of animals and books. You'll also see Sgt. Tibbs quite a bit here on the website and on our social media accounts. I feel that he should be recognized for all of the hard work he also puts into this shop. Nap duty is serious business, and no one gets it done better than he does.

My love of reading started with Walter Farley's The Black Stallion series and from there it only grew. Used bookstores have always been my favorite places, and I love the little bits of history tucked inside.. hidden notes, old bookmarks, and the feeling that every book has already lived a life before finding its way to its new reader.
About Fables & Ferns Bookstore
I opened Fables & Ferns out of my love for books and the joy of giving stories a second life. Used bookstores have always felt magical to me. I want to create a space where readers can discover budget-friendly, pre-loved books, connect with fellow book lovers, find new favorites by indie & local authors, and experience that same excitement of finding the perfect story just waiting for them.

Currently, this little bookstore is online and pop-up only, with the goal of moving into a storefront later this year. Once we have moved into the perfect place, we plan to offer a selection of plants, host weekly game nights and monthly events with local small businesses, and offer a cozy temporary home for adoptable cats.
